Amazon announced that its line of Echo devices will be receiving support for Apple Music starting the week of December 17th.
Though Amazon's line of devices is not the first non-Apple platform to support Apple Music (with Android and Facebook Messenger also allowing its users to sign up for and utilize Apple's service, which has a library of over 50 million songs.
Subscribers will be able to ask Amazon Echo (Alexa Voice Service) to play any certain song via Apple Music, and if the service has the song in question, playback will begin.
This support for Apple Music on Alexa is the latest move in a partnership between Amazon and Apple which has seen Prime Video available on Apple TV and iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch products be available for sale directly via Amazon Services for the first time.
